To begin with, I visited and read Gabriela’s blog because she is my friend. But in this opportunity I choose her since she didn’t receive comments of their other classmates. In her blog there are only six comments and the same people wrote to her. What is it happening with her others classmates? Maybe she doesn’t finish her homework during the class, and she isn’t only, but eventually she does that.
Her name in blog is Arline Sckreeder because is a book’s character from which her boyfriend is writing. I believe that name isn’t much known. In my case, I like different names especially when names are unusually. Other things I liked was her simple design but nice at the same time. I liked the colors she used in her blogger template designer.
My favorite post was “bad education in Chile” because is my favorite topic. In this topic, I agree with her above all if there are lot teachers who don’t know anything such as subject and general culture. As I mentioned before in my posts, we can change this reality.
On the other hand, maybe she needs to put in her title something more motivating or get attention readers to read her blog. Other thing she can improve her English is to pay attention in her punctuation, especially in commas, for example, after the phrase “in my case, (comma)”. This thing is more clarify to people who read that.



My experience with my blog

At first, I like the idea to have a blog, is the better form to learn to write and read different opinions in the same topic. Maybe I don’t write excellent, but I try to do my best performance.
Each week, I try to do my homework during the class, but the problem is I don’t finish it during the determined time. In my case, I need to organize my ideas to write something coherent. Besides, when I finish doing it I write in different blogs, however and generally, I write some comments to people I know more.
On the other hand, most of activities have connection with Straightforward’s book. Nonetheless, not all of them are interesting to write such as football; well I speak only for myself, but I try to give other sense for that topic.
I would have done in my blog a lot thing such as to end my homework during the class to get comment of other classmate. In addition to do more comments. I mean, my idea was to write all my classmates and know their opinion. However, the time wasn’t enough for me because I had to do others thing such as to study for other subject or to do my homework.

I think it’s a generational thing. I guess, we young people, we are under a lot of pressure especially at the end of the term. We have a lot of things to do: reports, lecture, papers and above all TESTS!

Motivation is not really the problem. I speak only for myself when I say that. It’s not that I don’t have the motivation to work harder. I’m working and very hard. The thing is that I have a lot of things to pay attention to.

In my opinion, we don’t have as much time as we need. For me, time goes so fast … but only in your class (lol). Seriously, maybe the main problem is the topics we have to study. They are not part of our context, I mean, we don’t feel attached or hear to them. Therefore, they are hard to study, hard to learn, hard to be interested in them. Well, I speak only for myself. In my case, I work hard and I try to do all my homework too. Finally and by the way, if I didn’t reply to your email because I was very, very busy at that moment.

To begin with, I hate football. However, I got up early to watch this game because my country was playing. On the other hand, Chileans people make different things to be Chileans such as our music, our dances, especially when Chileans people join with other people to share different moments. But, why do Chileans people forget our traditions when is a special moment like world cup? For example, I like waka-waka dance is very fun and has a contagious rhythm, however, Chileans people should dance Chilean national dance in anywhere in the world too, specifically in Sudafrica and try to teach people who living or visiting there. In that case, some Chileans composers have written some “cuecas” in connection with world cup, obviously about Chile. So, why aren’t Chileans people inspired to show one of the most beautiful things of our country? In my opinion, every Chileans should know to Chilean national dance. Therefore, if we forget our traditions, clearly we forget our accent. I believe some people think Chile has bad things or our country should change some things, for this reason, people try to copy other customs and to be part of them. Other possibility, people change their accent because they have been living for long period in other country.

To begin with, schools are killing creativity because they are in force with specific policy. Everybody, who is part of the school, has to enforce rules. In the case the teachers, they need to have creativity to teach something with different ways, such as do exercises, but they sometimes don’t have enough time to finish the activities.

In addition to, schools are worried for academic subjects and leave other subjects side. Students have to be a complete people, for this reason, schools have to give them everything they can develop their talent. Some people consider that academic subjects are the most important than artistic subjects, and they think it is only way they can find a job, because if they haven’t gotten postgraduate course, they cannot obtain the job they want to. We know mathematics and languages are very important in the life, but we can learn other things too. Nowadays, there is devaluation for the art area.

Everybody is faced challenge and we don’t have fear for mistakes we do. I believe that one of problems in education is don’t give importance creative abilities, and our educational system is based on academic ability such as in the past. Creativity is as important in education as literacy and we must deal with the same importance.

I think we have different options to express our art. She preferred performance. In my opinion, I don’t like how she expressed it. Nevertheless, I can highlight her courage to transmit her message to society. Not many people make changes in their bodies neither they show them in public.
She defined her life as before and after this artwork was presented. She was a teacher, but she lost her job, as a result of a work that she had performed. She was getting more attention when she decided to change her career. She decided to go under surgery and recored it. The film became the first of her surgical performances.
I believe that her idea of art as a message to society is different and creative. However, she is free and it is her way to express her thought. In my case, I express my art through dance. I love to dance and I would like to learn different dancing styles.
As I mentioned before, she is free and it is her option. She isn’t the only person who is narcissist, I mean, everybody has something of egotism. For this reason, I agree with expressing differently, but I disagree with the way she expressed it.
In my view, we are different people and we express ourselves indifferent ways. It depends on the person whatever he or she chooses for expressing his or her art. Besides, she is an artist too. Maybe some people, including myself, don’t agree with the style she chose it, but it is her life.




In my personal opinion I don’t like paintings. However, I’ve a favorite piece of art. I don’t know who created it, but the first time I looked at that painting I inmediatelyloved it. First of all, I knew this painting through my mother. She is an artist and she likes to draw and to paint different paintings, especially still life. My mother gave it to my sister.
I had never heard about this painting, however I’m constantly looking at it every time I visit my sister. Well, this painting is a dusk. It really caught my attention for the different colors used. In the painting there is a big tree and these colors made me feel like it I was there, in it.

In the article, the focus is on Chilean teachers disapprove in international tests, in order to regulate the quality of teachers give their students. As an ex school student, I feel identified with the reality that many children experience at school today. In my case, I had a biology teacher and in one of his classes consisted of verbatim to copy what came out on a website. After copying, he said us that we had to study for a test because it is part of the subject. We were really surprised. Will he need some motivation to give the time to teach? More money? Do you think it's fair that he gets a good amount of money for teaching wrong? In my opinion, definitely not!

Regarding those responsible for the current situation, the universities or the institutions and the government are responsible of this bad situation. On the one hand, I believe that government has a lot of responsibility because they don’t regularize the quality of the teachers is being given their students. It’s not only necessary to observe their classes, but through different tests to prove their skills. On the other hand, some of the universities or the institutions (not all of them) are accepting to people who didn’t take the PSU’s test or just didn’t give more importance for this test. I mean, this universities or institutions are benefited and they cause a serious problem to the society.

As a future teacher, I and you have the obligation of to study constantly and to answer those doubt that our future students. If it is given the case of don’t know the answer or just don’t be sure of something, it is necessary to tell students who don’t know the answer, but if you will be able to the solution for the next class. In addition, I’m afraid not there will be not big changes if the universities or the institutions and the government keep their conditions.

To conclude, all what we are studying pedagogy we have the opportunity to change this situation. I mean, if we receive a bad education at school, we don’t have why repeat what our teachers did with us. It depends on us to learn now to be a good teacher in the future.

To begin with this website, I think that excellent website to improve my English because it has different ways to learn as pronunciation, listening, new vocabulary, grammar. In addition, this website can help someone who doesn’t understand something. For example, you can listen to some audios and don’t understand anything; you can download and then check the typescripts.
On the other hand, in pronunciation tips, there are videos that someone gives information about it. In my case I think is good idea because I can learn some sounds of the phonetic, besides, it can help me for next year because we will have phonetics’ class.
In my opinion, there different website, but BBC’s website is better than Isabel Perez’s website. In my case, the second website is boring for me; however Isabel Perez’s website can help you to improve your English too. I think BBC’s websites can give you more information about your reality and the entire world. Nevertheless, in both websites we can learn English and to improve your skills to speak, to read, to write too.
